Giving at South Carolina

The Richard A. B. Cox Memorial Scholarship was established in 2019 in memory of Richard “Rickey” A. Cox by his beloved family and friends. Rickey first attended the University of South Carolina Salkehatchie campus in Walterboro, SC. Upon successful completion of his Associates Program in 2007 he transferred to the Darla Moore School of Business. Rickey graduated Cum Laude from the Moore School on May 8, 2009.

Rickey had an infectious zeal to succeed and set an example of giving back to the community through his service with local and national organizations. He was a loyal Gamecock fan who enthusiastically supported all athletic activities at USC. He was always checking stocks, fantasy football, playing golf and was an avid traveler.

In establishing this scholarship, Rickey’s family and friends wish to recognize the dedication to continued education and community service of a Moore School student. Thank you for your support of this fund in memory of Rickey.
