Tallon Davis Goff was born in Florence, South Carolina, in December 2002, and from the very start, his blood ran Garnet and Black. Tallon’s impressive academic journey began at West Florence High School, where he was a member of the Beta Club and National Honor Society.
In 2021, Tallon continued his education at the University of South Carolina as a proud recipient of a Palmetto Fellows Scholarship. He began his studies in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice but quickly realized the Darla Moore School of Business was the place for him.
A devoted Gamecock fan and proud advocate of the Moore School, Tallon planned to graduate in December 2025. He exemplified many of the Moore School’s core values - persistence, integrity, loyalty, and passion. Tallon approached everything he did with immense dedication, including his education and academics. He completed his coursework with an outstanding GPA and had even explored continuing his education at the Joseph F. Rice School of Law.
Beyond the classroom, Tallon served as the Marshal of Sigma Nu Fraternity, where he built lifelong friendships and embodied leadership. He was an avid supporter of Gamecock Athletics, proudly sporting his Garnet and Black overalls every Saturday in the fall at Williams-Brice Stadium.
Tallon was also a devoted outdoorsman and never failed to entertain his friends, whether that was by making them laugh or by playing the guitar.
The Tallon Davis Goff Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to an outstanding, well-rounded student from South Carolina pursuing a degree through the Darla Moore School of Business. This scholarship will honor and continue Tallon’s legacy at the University he loved so deeply.
